The face of pure contentment

I just finished the first draft of a community action toolkit I’ve been slaving over for work. It has consumed even my weekends for the past month and taken me away from important things like making marmalade, playing Frisbee, practicing guitar, baking bread, stealing fruit from trees, socializing, vegetating in the sun with one of the four (five, six?) books I’ve got on the go.

I’m so relieved I could fly. DJ Format is pounding out the funky, base-y beats so hard in my living room it’s making the flowers quiver.

This is me at Backyard Farm, where Jennie’s 10-year old son and his buddies were “killing” each other with homemade wooden rifles and swords. I don’t need a weapon to get through alive – this Viking helmet suits me just fine.
